Portland Fashion Designer To Design Fashion for Both Ends of the Leash

Fashion for Both Ends of the Leash

Boutiques Unleashed, by far one of my most favorite events to benefit DoveLewis’ (that is not a typo btw it’s one word) Pet Loss Support Group, is coming up on Friday, April 9, 2010.

You will see the hippest animals and humans around on the runway at Portland’s premier fashion event! Boutiques Unleashed is a fun and sometimes hilarious look at the latest styles from local boutiques for people and pets.

Plus, Project Runway contestant (and local designer) Seth Aaron Henderson will join Boutiques Unleashed designing a special outfit for the mystery model! Special thanks to Portland fashion website pdxneatsheet.com for helping bring Seth Allen on board!

Sawyer

In previous years the mystery model has been Gracie the therapy goat and Rojo the therapy llama. You can see who this year’s mystery model is and meet Seth Aaron Henderson in person at the April 9th event!

Personal pets are not on the invitation list so leave them at home. But go and enjoy the festivities that involve many local stylists and retailers. Below is a list of some of the participating boutiques:

Black Wagon Lizard Lounge

Mercantile Meringue Boutique Physical Elemen

Pin-Me Apparel Say Say Boutique Phlox

Mabel & Zora Garnish Apparel          Finn Mens’ Clothing

All for Paws Bentley B D’tails Dog Salon

Hip Hound Klees Designs
LexiDog Boutique & Social Club Salty’s Dog and Cat Shop

Kimberly Maus and Wayne Garcia from Fox 12 Oregon will MC the event

The most gorgeous Cardigan Corgi in the photos above is my very own Sawyer “thecorgi” a three year old corgi.

Have a great weekend and SHOP ON!

Cluttercast Friday and it’s free!

It’s Cluttercast Friday on Krista Colvin’s Organize in Style. I love this idea.

She grabs something that’s cluttering up her life that she doesn’t need and puts it online to give away to someone who needs her clutter … er I mean stuff!

Here’s today’s cluttercast – it’s a recipe box that’s very cute! She says she bought it years ago thinking she’d start cooking but it didn’t really happen. It just didn’t work for her I guess.

Today's cluttercast

Here’s part of her blog – I love funny women!
Here’s the deets… this ‘clutter’ can be yours for FREE. Just follow the simple Cluttercast rules as determined by my gal Darryle over at Cluttercast.com!

Krista’s cluttercast rules:

1. ME: Each Friday I’m going to set something FREE. *be sure to subscribe to my blog so you receive current up-to-the-minute info!

2. YOU: comment as to why you’d love the item or whom you’d like to gift it to. [ I’ll give you a week to comment then pick + email the winner.]

3. ME + YOU: I’ll send it to the winner

It all started with meeting @DarryleP on twitter. Here’s why I’m in, SO IN- click here

Martha oh Martha Stewart how we love thee!

Don’t we love to love Martha … or at least dish about her. It was cupcake week on the Martha Stewart Show. Who needs that kind of harrassment? I almost got in my car and headed down to St. Cupcake. And it’s Friday even so they have those red choclatey ahhh…. the red velvet cupcakes! They have them on Friday and Saturday. Oh my.

“A classic buttermilk cake with a hint of cocoa and screaming red. topped with a dollup of our classic vanilla cream cheese icing. she’s sassy AND frassy. like a true sassafrass should be.” There is a goddess. OMG. Thankfully I talked myself down before I made it to the car. Heavy sigh
