Jimmy Choo Shoes & Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Sale

Jimmy Choo Shoes … Need I say more. Of course I do. There’s also a to-die-for … well (maybe not to-die-for,_5733533 but to get-really,-really-sick-for) handbags and shoes. Here are my fav’s from the Jimmy Choo Resort 2009 collection. Omy.

I could never actually wear these strappy sandals but I could have them displayed on my fireplace mantel. Well for Pete’s sake they’re $1,125- a pair. But well worth it don’t you think? I’m already thinking about the deluges of rain that are coming and the warm, tropical destinations where these sandals would be the hit. Check out the heels. _5733557

And did I mention I love this Jimmy Choo handbag?

Think resort shopping!

Think resort shopping!

It’s his ‘Lohla’ Paisley Stud Handbag and retails for $2,895. I know I know all those starving children… heavy sigh.

I long for this Armani Collezioni High Collar Wool jacket on sale at Nordstrom’s for $709. It was $1,195.

Happy Birthday to who? Moi?

A birthday present? Perhaps. It is my month to celebrate. Yes, I do celebrate the entire month of November now. I used to celebrate only the day (Nov. 19 in case you’d like to send along a little gift) but why not the month I say?

The jacket comes only in Peony and is beautifully tailored. The details are outlined in a slightly darker color. Love the cutaway hem. Made in Italy of course.

You can get the sale prices starting today at the Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly sale presale.

Mark Schwartz update on high-heeled art … mea culpa

Entitled "Louboutin" 30x22 ... AND I WANT IT!

"Louboutin"

I’m so easily impressed. Answered my cell this afternoon and barked into it as usual, antcipating another sales person that won’t leave me alone and caller was Mark Schwartz (shoes as art) thanking me for the blog I did yesterday and he’d noticed I hadn’t put a link to his blog. Mea culpa!

Somehow I didn’t save it before I quit writing last night.

Anywhoo … asked him if he was really Oprah’s favorite shoe designer. Here’s what he said: “Well, I did have my 15 minutes of fame. She bought “several pairs” from me. She also consigned a couple of pieces of artwork for one of her many parties. Yes, Oprah is very nice. She has the “entire universe” throwing things at her though so she’s always changing up.”

Nice gentleman. Sounded very artistic … hehee … what does an artist sound like? Love the work at the left. Honey if you can’t buy the shoes can you buy me the painting. That’s for hubs if he’s reading my blog. I LOVE that watercolor. It’s India ink on paper and it’s 30×22. Perfect for my bedroom or home office.

Here are a couple more renditions of his artwork. I love it. Thanks for the call Mark.

Sad but true … Vivier … Warhol … and high heeled art?

Oh this is too much! How could anyone love CSI this much? It’s the crime scene tape scarf with the words “Crime Scene DO NOT CROSS” boldly emblazoned across it. Bad bad bad idea. You can also use the scarf to scare the crap out of your housemates when they come home late and see it wrapped around the front door.

Just an idea…. Garish is too pretty of a word for these accessoriesfrom hell.

There are other crime scene accessories to go with like this crime scene carpet. It comes in the shape of a dead body lying on the ground.

Yes, it’s true that there’s only one size but they do come in three colors.

Pretty is as pretty does

The Ecsotype http://ecsotype.com/bags/presse online store on the other ah … hand has a to-die-for bag called the Presse mixed material utility bag.

In addition to its other incredible attributes, there’s a no-shock divider pocket inside to protect your laptop or camera. It’s made of leather and nylon with multiple internal/external pockets and a leather-braced gusset. Looks perfect for travel.

 Well-heeled art you say?

Check out Mark Schwartz’s blog.

No … high-heeled art.  Mark Schwartz, accomplished shoe designer and artist, who studied under Andy Warhol, nay was essentially “pushed by Warhol into developing his artistic side and creative levels encouraging Mark to continue to his capricious approach to fabricate his artistic style of painting shoes as art.” Deep breathe and … “The subliminal influence of … Warhol provided him with a canvas to create a multifaceted panorama of collages, paintings and whimsical interpretations of “shoes as art.”

Although … he is rumored to be Oprah’s favorite shoe designer.

Better than food as art I say. Here, you decide:

Fall Handbag Sale at Kate Spade 20% Off! Orange=the new black

Oh dear I wish I could stay off the Kate Spade web site. I can resist anything but temptation as they say. You know I say that but I don’t really mean it. And I don’t even have a full-time job right now for Pete’s sake. BTW if anyone you know needs a blogger … hey I can blog about just about anything.

Well today I didn’t even stay on the handbag pages I went to the home pages, the accessories and the shoes pages. Crying out loud.

Love this bag. Orange is the new black. Seriously. Everything this season is orange. I love it!

I mistakenly then went to the shoes pages and the home pages and the accessories and well … got lost for a long, long time. Heavy sigh. Do you love polka dots? Check out these lovely plates. They come in four delectable series of polka dot shades. I think the green are my favorites. But the red ones. Hmmmm.

Black and white? Heavy, heavy sigh. So many choices, so little time and cold, hard cash! Shop on!

Shoes to die for … and not in a good way

Honestly, do designers think women can wear those four-inch heels and still walk when we’re over the age of 30? Crying out loud.

For some reason though I still secretly crave wearing them, but just can’t walk more than 50 feet in most of them. Silly … I’m just saying. My Fashion Life has a pair of Betty Jackson ankle boots on their front page today that might actually look cute with a foot inside of them. On the other hand just imagine your foot fat pudging through the cut-outs. EEWWW.

Then check out these sandals they had in the next space.

They’re Alexander McQueen “Corsage VINYL sandals.” They retail for $1,605 but they’re on sale for $1,123.50. OMG run away … and not in either of these pair of shoes!

And get this — they were SOLD OUT on the Net – A – Porter.com site. I am definitely running with the wrong crowd. Well, I doubt they’re actually running in those heels.
